Reporting lines
· Director Product Manager, Platforms(solid-line)
· General Manager, Ultrasound - China (dotted line)
· Director Marketing - Value Ultrasound Segment (dotted line)

Role Summary/Purpose
Upstream Product Manager – U/S China market
· Understand China customer & market needs
· Share market insights with Ultrasound BU team
· Define Value product marketing strategy, portfolio planning and management
· Assist in China and BIU Premium and High End product definitions
· New product definition and initiation
· Develop Value product introduction strategy with Ultrasound marketing team
· Brand awareness and brand building

Responsibilities
1. Marketing Strategies
a. Facilitate market intelligence efforts including competitive analysis and customer/market research
b. Develop and maintain a need based customer segmentation for their respective solution across global markets
c. Analyze competitor products from a point of view of positioning, market share, technology and architecture

2. New Product definition and GTM strategies
a. Develop business requirements for new product & enhancements to existing products
b. Translate customer/market needs to product requirements. Link to Ultrasound product roadmap
c. Support China product team and field marketing for NPT & NPI
d. Work closely with China field marketing to set price corridors and guidance for product/solutions.
e. Coordinate pricing across product lines to ensure profitable growth
f. Work with Marketing to enable the market sales teams (e.g. conduct presentations/training ahead of new product launch)

3. Product Portfolio Management
a. Help define product platforms that support growth, product evolution
b. Work across R&D, Service and operations to develop integrated offerings that meet the need of priority customer segments tailored in China
c. Plan Customer service models and lifecycle support along with CS teams to have effective field support models
d. Work with business leaders, sales and marketing functions to identify growth opportunities through the business cycle.
e. Prioritize China market needs and anticipate future trends.
f. Analyze target market for size, pricing and sales/service models

4. Brand awareness and brand building
a. Co-ordinate with marketing on brand awareness and brand building
b. Seek opportunities to collaborate with other segments in BU
c. Gather and analyze field data for improvement and value offering

5. CFDA Responsibilities
a. Coordinate with regulatory colleagues in Suzhou, Beijing, Bangalore and Bothell to drive CFDA activities such as setting up clinical trials, managing various documentation around ethics committees, in-hospital approvals and ensuring timely execution of related activities
