Responsibilities:

The Senior Marketing Manager will work closely with the team in China and Hong Kong to develop, establish and manage media strategies and media relations to meet the objectives of the firm. The department focuses on delivering high-quality services to our internal and external clients, and the ability to conceptualise and oversee various media-related activities.

• Develop and execute media communication strategies to enhance the firm's visibility and increase its share of voice in the marketplace;
• Plan and manage media conferences and other media-related activities;
• Proactively leverage the firm's thought leadership pieces;
• Track industry and market news, market intelligence;
• Need to exercise professionalism in handling media enquiries at all times;
• Development of thought leadership pieces and articles for publication;
• Assist with compilation of internal newsletters and email alerts;
• Organise and manage conferences, seminars and provide support for other marketing events;
• Proofreading and editing as required;
• Coordinate Marketing & Communications programmes;
• Enhance PwC's thought leadership and corporate profile to the media by developing media relations strategies, drafting press releases, organising media events and managing conferences and seminars via local business associations; and
• Will also have to exercise professionalism in handling media enquiries and crisis management.
  
  

Requirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• University degree in journalism, communications, marketing or relevant field;
• Minimum eight years'experience, preferably gained in the marketing, communications or a public relations field within a multi-national company, financial institution or government organisation;
• Work experience in the media or a public relations agency would be an advantage;
• Excellent written and spoken Chinese and English;
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills;
• Excellent relationships with various media organisations in China, specifically business and financial media;
• Strong organisational skills and leadership ability, and the maturity to manage both internal and external client relationships at senior levels;
• Good time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic working environment;
• Proven experience and ability in communicating with the press and coordinating media campaigns, including writing features and press releases;
• Proven experience in managing marketing projects including events management; and
• Sound experience in crisis management.
