Job Title: Inspector

Reporting to: SQM (Supplier Quality Management) QC Engineer

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspector is responsible for the following tasks;

1. Full acknowledgement of the latest Purchaser Order (PO) and approved SUPPLIER’s inspection documents.

2. Attendance of the Pre-Inspection Meeting (PIM), if applicable.

3. Coordination with CLIENT and/or CERTIFYING AUTHORITY on all inspection activities

4. Communicate with SQM QC Engineer and/or SUPPLIER’s inspector in a professional manner to effectively prevent and solve problems.

5. To perform the inspection that the equipment and material are being manufactured in accordance with the approved ITP, PO and project specification.

6. Review of SUPPLIER’s inspection records and/or reports

7. To issue inspection report within 2 days after each visit, and distribute to the QC Engineer, highlighting any specific action required. (such as punch list with non-conformity items)

8. Controlling the inspection results such as punch list with non-conformity items, Inspection Release Certificate (IRC), etc.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, preferably in mechanical of industrial manufacturing related discipline.

2. Solid experience in an international EPC company or NOTIFY BODY such as SGS, TUV, Moody, BV, etc is highly preferred.

3. 10+ working experience ,at least 5 years experience as an inspection relevant position for a similar business field (Hydrocarbon, Energy, Power Plant experience preferred)

4. Inspection related experience in equipment and material manufactory (like Transformer, SWGR, MCC, UPS & Battery Charge, Motor, Control Valve, etc.) is preferred.

5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, ability to develop relationships with related parties and suppliers.

6. Result oriented, a good team player and be able to work under pressure

7. Willing to travel locally to drive inspection activities

8. Fluent in English
