Inspector (Packing)

Work Location: Shanghai

Job Title: Packing Inspector

Reporting to: SQM (Supplier Quality Management) QC Engineer

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspector is responsible for the following tasks;

1. Full acknowledgement of the latest Purchaser Order (PO) and approved SUPPLIER’s inspection documents.

2. Attendance of the Pre-Inspection Meeting (PIM), if applicable.

3. Attendance of the Pre-Fabrication Meeting (PFM), if applicable.

4. Monitoring and/or instruction of SPPLIER’s packing work.

5. Communicate with SQM QC Engineer and/or SUPPLIER’s inspector in a professional manner to effectively prevent and solve problems.

6. To assure and/or monitor that the equipment and material are being packed in accordance with the approved SUPPLIER’s packing procedure, PO and project specification.

7. To perform the packing inspection

8. To issue inspection report within 2 days after each visit, and distribute to the SQM QC Engineer, highlighting any specific action required. (such as punch list with non-conformity items)

REQUIREMENTS

1. College degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, preferably in mechanical of industrial manufacturing related discipline.

2. 15+ working experience, at least 10 years experience related with a packing work and/or an inspection for a similar business field.

3. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, ability to develop relationships with related parties and suppliers.

4. Result oriented, a good team player and be able to work under pressure

5. Willing to travel locally to drive inspection activities

6. Fluent in English
