Job Description
The Talent Development Geographic Unit (GU) Business Interlock role is the single point of contact for the Talent Development Center of Expertise (COE) for all countries and workforces within a Geographic Unit. As well as providing expertise within the Talent Development COE, the GU Business Interlock will be the key to a successful partnership between the Talent Development CoE and GU HR Leads. The GU Business Interlock role covers all Talent Development disciplines including Capability Development, Career Management, Career Transitions, and in some GUs Performance Management. Key objectives include:
Ensuring the requirements and considerations of the GU are incorporated into the design of talent development programs and initiatives;
Maintaining a collaborative relationship with the GU HR Lead to ensure ongoing awareness of business issues, strategy and priorities; and being viewed as a trusted advisor for talent development matters by the GU HR Lead;
Determining talent development needs specific to the GU, responsible for creating a talent development strategy for the GU;
Understanding the various talent development programs and assets available;
Creating plans for and insuring talent development programs and assets are ready to be implemented within the GU;
Ensuring GU talent development needs are filled in a cost-effective manner, consistent with the company's direction; championing global designs/processes with minimal localization.
The GU Business Interlock role will be involved in many talent development processes where it is necessary to involve the business in discussions to support the formulation of strategy, resolve business issues, design & localize programs, etc.
The GU Business Interlock role, Manager level, is responsible for performing the stated duties:

For one of the smaller, less complex GUs. In this case, key sizing factors for the role include:
GU headcount in the range of 4,000 - 10,000
The GU may include in the range of 1-5 countries.
The GU Business Interlock role, Manager level, may lead other team members.
