Senior Online Marketing Manager
Amazon has developed a number of innovative and fast-growing digital and mobile businesses all around the world.
We are looking for a smart, results-oriented Senior Online Marketing Manager to drive demand and grow our business in China. You will drive planning and executing best in class website and email content to drive adoption and traffic of our products. The position will be based in China.
As Senior Online Marketing Manager, your major responsibilities will be site merchandising/management and online traffic generation; you will drive all copywriting for the Chinese audience and will be seen as the certain business' voice for China. You will be instrumental in strategic planning of the merchandising calendar for product sales. These include e-mail programs, cross-category placements, and participation in Amazon site-wide events. You will also compile and analyze traffic and other web metrics, and report on performance to our management teams.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of handling multiple projects at once, able to take direction and work well with multiple teams. In addition to having first-class written and verbal communication skills, this candidate will be able to prioritize to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
General Responsibilities:
o Planning and executing the site merchandising calendars. This includes email programs, cross-category placements, participation in Amazon site-wide events, browse tree design and search results
o Own the business' brand/voice for China, ensuring all copy is compelling and on-brand
o Develop, execute, and analyze creative test plans for marketing channels
o Create emails, category pages, brand stores, campaigns, and free search improvement projects
o Synthesize and analyze relevant site metrics
o Own the end to end on-site experience
o Online traffic and demand generation activities on own media, earned media (social media) and bought media including affiliate/associate sites
Basic Qualifications
o Strong writing skills and e-commerce merchandising experience
o Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically
o Experience designing and executing online customer experiences
o Strong communication skills: experience in coordinating teams and communicating to senior management
o Strong bias for action, ability to prioritize and attention to detail
o Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up feature and customer segment recommendations
o An understanding of, and passion for media and technology
o Aptitude for organization, flexibility and producing results in a fast paced environment
o Technical ability in using HTML, XML and Excel, plus the ability to learn in-house tools quickly
o Fluency in both Chinese and English
o BA/BS required
