Amazon China (Amazon.cn) is looking for an experienced and dynamic operational expert to drive the import business in China. This role requires a strong customer-obsession, experience creating scalable and efficient processes, strong data/analytical skills and experience working in a cross-functional team.

Working within a Retail category teams and Transportation teams, the job of this program manager is to understand the requirement of import business, prioritize the task to enable immediately requirement from some categories. This person will be the project leader to create and deploy the import business execution plan and set up related processes to guarantee the launch of the project and minimize the risk as well at the same time. The person in this job will work with many different teams, including Amazon China’s product category teams; Amazon China’s operation teams; and our vendors, logistics partners and traders to seek for the target categories that meet customers’ demand and feasible for import business model. He/she will also drive the development of international branded goods into china. Part of this job will involve sourcing and managing a high bar for the quality of traders and logistics partners and continuously work with internal and external teams/partners to improve the process.

The successful candidate will have hands-on, operations, retail or logistics management experience, strong analytical and problem solving skills, excellent business judgment and effective execution. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, where tactical and strategic activities are driven in parallel, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

Role of Import Business Program Manager
? Prioritize and enable the key categories importing business
? Source and manage the logistic partners’ performance and quotation
? Build up and enable direct import process for Amazon China
? Build up common cost model for import business
? Build up the framework and general guidance on managing logistic partners, e.g. info access right and confidentiality management
? Coordinate with all internal teams and leverage the import capabilities
? Coordinate with legal, process compliance, and other functional team on common import requirement
? Set up and execute on the launch plan of the project, closely following up on the progress to secure a successful launch

Basic Qualifications
? 6+ years supply chain, logistics management and/or project management experience
? Strong problem solving skills; ability to work with tight timeline; result driven and self-motivated.
? Strong process definition and optimization skills; proven ability to define effective, efficient, and scalable processes
? Experience working across functions and with external business partners.
? Fluent in both Chinese and English

Preferred Qualifications
? Graduate degree in Business, Logistics or a Supply Chain/Operations discipline preferred
? Experience working on import/export business will be preferred
? Proven ability to succeed in cross-functional teams through influence versus direct management; excellent interpersonal skill
