Role Summary/Purpose

The distribution and substation automation RTU products are key parts in the overall portfolio offering.

Essential Responsibilities

The Technical Application Engineering (TAE) group supports sales & services activities The successful candidate will be someone who are/can: • Technically minded candidate with relevant hardware & software application skills • Effective communications with HQ team as well as customers • Describe how the products solve business problems, and be a product advocate to customers and the industry • Demonstration of Automation products, eg distribution and substation automation RTU product suite to customers and prospects applying technology to customer requirements • Contribute to technical proposal writing and provide support to bid managers, partners and sales team • Provide technical support to GE’s channel partners, provide product information, technical support and training courses • Identifying, preparing and presenting papers for conferences to raise the profile of GE’s Automation solutions • Provide customer support & services, automation operation, maintenance and projects as requested by the business • Participate, drive and support six sigma quality and growth initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements

Critical Criteria• At least 3 years industry experiences, specifically in Distribution and Substation Automation domain;• Experience in substation automation operation & maintenance and projects;• Experience in application engineering / services & supportOther Requirements• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering, preferably with electrical, electronic, automation, or computer background; • Good written & oral skills in Mandarin and English. Cantonese speaking is required;• Self-starter with the ability to simplify the complex;• Good communication and interpersonal skills; • Team player;• Able to perform effectively under pressure
