Role Summary/Purpose
The Project Manager will be the primary operational interface for strategic GE Lighting customers and ensure that customer commitments are being met from initial customer inquiry through successful and ongoing project installations. The Project Manager will work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Commercial Services and Supply Chain leaders to provide an exceptional experience for Lighting’s most valuable customers. This role is critical to our strategic account initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities
- Managing all phases of project execution from kick-off through commissioning, acceptance and handover
- Provide leadership to the project team, facilitate and lead all project reporting and meetings
- Proactively disseminating project information to all internal and external stakeholders over the duration of the project,
- Identifying, managing and mitigating project risks
- Proactively managing scope to ensure that what was agreed to is delivered, unless changes are approved through scope management
- Defining and collecting metrics to give a sense for how the project is progressing and whether the deliverables produced are acceptable
- Managing the overall schedule to ensure work is assigned and completed as per committed dates.
- Establish required relationships with Sales, Design, Application, Pricing and Supply Chain to ensure seamless coordination within internal and external quality/specification requirements. in maximizing service and responsiveness to customer requirements

- Anticipate customer needs and trends; develop and implement customer specific solutions to enhance our value. Resolve specification issues; handle correspondence; provide periodic updates; ensure customer satisfaction

- Implement continuous improvement through Six Sigma quality

Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving abilities
- Experience with data analysis and tools
- Experience in project management, customer fulfillment, or other commercial functions
- Ability to drive engagement across cross-functional teams
- Ability to perform in a team environment

Desired Characteristics

- Electrical engineering discipline preferred
- Proven leadership skills in a matrix organization ( function and business )
- Sound business acumen
- Solid understanding of basic financial concepts and measurements
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- In-depth knowledge of Inquiry-to-Order (ITO), and Order-to-Remittance (OTR)
- Demonstrated ability leading a project through multiple phases
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Positive attitude and confidence in working with high profile accounts
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers
- Detail oriented with superior organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; and fluent in Chinese and English
- Strong computer skills
- 30% travel required
