OBJECTIVES:
Materials Requirement Planning, Inventory planning, Warehouse and Logistics
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A) overall material management
· To take lead of material management team to support local business
· To set and manage material management process
· To coordinate with related parties ( internal/external customer, supplier, supply chain and procurement platform, production, quality team etc.) to manage raw material and finish goods through the site supply chain smoothly
· To support Country supply chain manager to implement supply chain direction and cooperate with material management team at other sites
· To take lead MM team reach site SC KPI and contribute to operational excellence
B) Material / Inventory planning
· To lead S&OP and make balance of supply vs demand
· To ensure the MRP meet the customer order requirement and sales order response as well as production scheduling.
· To optimize the inventory level and turnover days and avoid material shortage
· To monitor the idle materials’ disposal.
· To monitor the material delivery status to meet the production requirement.
· To coordinate the TS department for technical and systematic issues.
· To manage the raw materials at port or rental warehouse on schedule.
· To coordinate with Production to ensure the smooth production scheduling.
C) Purchasing management
· To generate the purchase order upon planning
· Procure material, supplies and services cost-effectively and keep the delivery to meet the demands of sales and production planning.
· Maintain SAP for purchasing process and follow the material delivery status on a daily basis
· Cooperate with procurement hub buyers to implement purchasing activities and support category buyers on procurement strategy and guideline implementation
· Ensure that internal quality requirements and BASF and local EHS regulations are observed within the company; report any areas of concern to manager.
· Prepare necessary document purchasing and payment. Review purchase orders and invoices to identify errors and unusual changes in volume or price that might warrant management intervention or additional negotiation.
· Secure necessary technical and safety information (such as MSDS) on procured material, seeking expertise from the department initiating the purchase requisition.
· Regularly report purchasing status upon demand.
· Prepare and modify the Quality Management documents.
D Logistics and Warehouse management
· To well develop written procedures for logistics operation including LSP selection, assessment, training and management
· To lead logistics officer to conduct logistics and warehouse management, include import/export, customs clearance, transportation and warehousing.
· To Cooperate with logistics procurement to negotiate with shipping companies for the best prices of logistics services and prepare the contracts. Calculate the most cost-effective and efficient routes for inbound/outbound communication.
· To control logistics cost and review freight bills and rates on inbound and outbound deliveries for cost-effectiveness and discrepancies. Generate monthly delivery report for cost verification.
· Monitor the operations of the shipping companies, including the transportation safety, facilities and services.
· To facilitate TDS training and TDS control of logistics service.
· Ensure that internal quality requirements and BASF and local SHE regulations are observed within the company; report any areas of concern to manager.
· Backup other logistics colleagues
E) System Management
· Responsible for system operation regarding SAP R/3 and APO operation
· Apply and maintain material master data at site level
· Make sure MRP and DP system utilized well at site level
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor degree.
More than 5 years of experience in materials management.
Familiar with Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics and Purchasing work.
Good computer skills. SAP experience is preferred.
Good communication skill in both English and Chinese.
