Summary
The Emerging Markets Lead and Future Product Manager, a member of the CB marketing organization, is focused on the all aspects of the Emerging Markets Consumer Inkjet portfolio of products (Deskjet Ink Advantage). In this role, you will use customer and market insights as well as critical thinking and strategic perspective to develop new opportunities for business growth. You will operate entrepreneurially with a focus on industry verticals and business models. You will be responsible for developing and driving key strategies and initiatives to drive the business over the 1-3 year horizon, in the process working closely with R&D as well as regional partners. Additionally the Emerging Markets Lead and Future Product Manager will take an active role in product definition for key emerging markets products.


The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability in the following key areas:
·Identification and analysis of new business opportunities.
·Development of solid business models to evaluate and prioritize opportunities and subsequently justify product positions.
·Creation and maintenance of portfolio roadmaps that drive business performance.
·Translating customer and regional channel necessities needs into product requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
·Actively participate in business planning process to define 5 year business goals and objectives for emerging market. Based up on knowledge of the customer, market, and technology adaption, make proposal and recommendation for HW, applications and supply solution which will enable profitable growth in emerging market.
·Well versed on emerging market customer, sales channel, market dynamics including but not limited to: GDP growth, PC penetration, Mobile trend, Internet and Wi-Fi trend, printer connect rate, supply after market share, customer usage, competitive landscape.
·Lead resource consolidating regional differences and country by country customer insights to optimize portfolio recommendation to each emerging region. Work with region, supply marketing and finance to define HW and supply pricing.
·Work as Future Product Manager (FPM) and lead other FPMs as well as Consumer Inkjet Portfolio Lead to make sure emerging market request is well represented as a part of Design Objective and follow through the product development cycle. Maintain close communication with current business manager and Ops for portfolio POR alignment.
·Work as FPM and lead other FPMs and Design team to define emerging market portfolio experiences and industrial design strategy and objectives. Work with Worldwide marketing to develop messaging, naming and packaging strategy for EM portfolio.
·Work closely with the current business and forecasting teams to support forecasting and reporting for the consumer portfolio
·Partner with market research team to gather customer insight as required for the development of product definitions and marketing plans designed to grow the business
·Participation in key sales situations (trade shows, account visits, etc.) to effectively represent the company and its products and services
·Must be able to travel domestically and abroad, must have passport, and be able to travel as needed


Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and three to five years related Product Marketing experience
Technical proficiency within printer industry a plus
