SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage customer related business interests of the Automotive Systems division and assist with the overall business planning. Work as part of a cross-functional team to identify, evaluate, and develop business opportunities. Evaluate business alternatives and tradeoffs, develop strategies and tactics, and implement solutions to provide maximum mutual returns. Provide Bose with an understanding of local China business needs, bringing the gap between Bose US and our Chinese automotive customers.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Establish and support Bose’s business relationship with our Automotive customer(s):
a.Establish a direct contact with appropriate customers’ purchasing, accounts payable, and logistics departments. Attend customer purchasing, logistics, engineering, and marketing meetings, as necessary, to represent automotive business interests. Identify customer specific requirements for customers and ensure these are distributed, reviewed and responded to by the Bose team in a timely manner.
b.Solicit and review formal customer responses to quotations – providing feedback, negotiating terms, and documenting final agreements to meet customer response time.
c.Assist in identifying business opportunities – new target programs – for Bose and provide feedback and suggestions for business pursuit process in order for China theater team to meet annual booked business goals.
d. Support contract negotiations and contract administration. Coordinate proposals, support quotation process and provide business communication locally for all automotive purchases such as non-disclosure agreements, prototype parts, pre-production part, production parts, service parts, tooling; negotiating terms, and documenting final agreements. Support, communicate and document changes in scope with customers and internal cross function Bose teams for projects and programs.
e. Provide support for budgetary quotations for systems, tooling, and engineering.
f.Provide other customer services as necessary, including capacity studies, tooling trade-offs, cost studies, annual quotations, etc.
g. Participate in internal quality audits as necessary to support customer initiatives.
2.Manage commercial relationships with automotive customer in order to balance customer requirements with Bose financial goals and constraints.
a.Lead customer negotiations on price and other commercial terms in order for Bose to realize standard margin targets established for programs and meet or exceed China theater targets for new ones. Manage annual price negotiations in order to yield APRs at or below budget levels.
b.Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasting process in order to provide accurate monthly forecasts for demand planning and to provide an accurate annual revenue budget for the China theater.
c.Participate in program approval process to generate approvals for responses to customer quote requests. Maintain program approval first past yield of at least 80%.
3.Support continuous improvement, divisional strategies, policy deployment, process and cost improvement activities in a way that goes beyond assigned customer responsibilities
a.Identify an area for improvement –, such as submitting kaizens, working on cost reduction activities, participating in lean workshops, etc.
b.Manage customer contract negotiation time – working closely with Bose legal to identify ways to reduce Bose turnaround time.
c.Establish processes for China account services support that are aligned with our global processes to improve our efficiency ad cross functional representation.
d.Participate in bi- annual target alignment process.

4.Contribute to an environment of continuous learning and development in a way that enables people performance.
a.Participate in personal development planning including mid- year and end of year performance reviews and training.
b.Provide direct and indirect coaching to peers, submit peer reviews for core team members and participate in 360 degree process offering feedback to colleagues and peers for annual review process.
c.Submit automotive excellence awards – submit at least one nomination per year for automotive excellence.

LEVELING REQUIREMENTS
Level 3 (Senior Level): Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgement within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
BS/BA degree in business, logistics, or engineering. MBA preferred but not required. Four to six years of industry experience, preferably with a major technology supplier or in Automotive Sales, Account Management, Product Planning, Finance, or Purchasing. Chinese/English bilingual is required.
Seeking self-starter with high degree of demonstrated independence and achievement.
