Responsibility:
Organize, control & manage the total project scope of work assigned. Manage all project management processes/systems for execution of projects strictly within costs and schedules defined.
Preparation of the overall project plan & execution strategies.
Manage the approved plan to achieve project deliverables & timeline objectives viz. mobilize the team/contractors & coordinate schedules with respect to planning, procurement & execution strategy in line with contract provisions.
Promote quality awareness in every sphere of project activity & the organization, manage quality through audits and ensure correction in case of any non-conformance.
Ensure relevant budget & delivery plan & provide regular project progress reports & forecast data to the senior management.
Anticipate and resolve problems, bottlenecks/scheduling conflicts to achieve on time or earlier deliveries and ensure contracting partners deliver project within the contracted duration & agreed budget.
Establish project goals and ensure that these are communicated to, and understood by, all team members as well as in all supporting units.
Use people management & network abilities to establish a positive team spirit by inspiring project team members including the matrix organization supporting the project.
Implement Training & Development Plan for competency development across the team.
Other ad hoc tasks required by line manager.
Education:
Undergraduate degree from an accredited university; MBA or Master's degree from an accredited university is better
Work Experience:
5-7 years proven project management experience.
2-5 years of experience in training activities.
Knowledge of and experience with project management methods.
5 years experience in a business functional area.
Previous experience with working on teams and leading work teams
Skills & Abilities:
Strong organizational and analytical capability
Good verbal/written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely to influence business decisions on systems and applications
Working knowledge of full life-cycle project development
Knowledge of business processes in functional areas
Proven project management skills that demonstrate the ability to complete assignments in a systematic and timely basis
