Regulatory Affairs:
Provide the regulatory advice and comments to ensure the product compliance to regulations.
-Gather the information and policies from Regulatory Affairs sections to ensure products compliant with China standards.
-Be involved in projects relevant to the finished products to clear any potential regulatory issues by providing advice and solution.
-Maintain an awareness of regulatory trends and issues by appropriate external contacts / attendance at relevant seminars.
Lead internal work on making or amending relevant regulations including product standards to prepare proposed text or collect feedback
-Proactively get involved in the regulation making or amending work by attending the external meetings organized by the authorities such as MOH.
-Collect the internal opinions on the draft regulation for which the authorities solicit the public opinions and develop the formal letter to the authorities to give the company’s feedback.
-Initiate and push authorities to amend standards when necessary.
Support dealing with inquiries regarding regulation compliance of products by providing professional advice.
-Provide regulatory support to solve the complaints regarding regulation compliance and ensure the company avoid of the food safety issue
Develop and maintain good working relationships with food-related authorities and trade associations.
-Provide support on food regulatory event organized by the government.
-Ensure the accurate, appropriate advice and recommendations are provided to the authorities.
-Attend and support the conferences or activities initiated by government authorities and trade associations.
Prepare the professional dossiers for various products registrations,
-Be fully responsible for Novel Food registrations, New Varieties of Food Additives and related registrations issue
Responsible for organize and lead the internal communication and training activities to spread/update/renew the local and international food and food safety regulation/standards

Government Relationship:
Responsible for developing and managing relationships with key government officials ( MOH, AQSIQ, Custom, etc ) focuses on using government relations as a tool to strategically fuel growth for China business.
In formulating and in implementing a successful government relations program for the company.
Advise China GM on all matters relating regulatory matters, and public policy issues of interest and concern .
Strong, developed relationships with the important officials of government agencies relevant to business. Proven ability to maneuver through the government channels.
A thorough understanding of Chinese policy-making processes, including an understanding of the roles and decision points within the government.

Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree is required. An advanced degree such as MBA would be desirable
Language: Must be fluent in both Mandarin and English both verbal and written.
The successful candidate will be a recognized key player within China with 3-5 years of significant experience working in a multinational Company combined with an experience in government relations/public affairs/trade associations.
