We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Internal Controls Manager – PMT ASIA, based in Shanghai, China.

This position reports directly into the PMT Finance Director for Asia and is responsible for driving a strong internal controls environment by implementing and monitoring accounting and control policies and procedures, performing risk and financial reviews, and working closely with PMT leadership on projects ensuring effective finance processes in the region. This position also engages in special projects such as business integrations, new plant set-ups, etc.

Responsibilities:
- Pro-actively evaluate existing processes and controls, and recommend improvements
- Coordinate the Balance Sheet Review (BSR) Process for PMT Asia and perform reviews as needed.
- Manage relationship with Corporate Audit, ensuring effective planning and coordination around scheduling and execution
- Work with Sites/SBUs in advance of audits to support effective audit results
- Oversee implementation and monitoring of internal controls standards and accounting policy updates
- Communicate any known risks, opportunities, or relevant information to all key stakeholders
- Provide training and assistance in the remediation of control issues across PMT Asia
- Ensure PMT Asia entities are compliant with Sarbanes Oxley including Segregation of Duties requirements and support SOX testing as required
- Ensure PMT Asia entities meet statutory report and filing requirements
- Ability to act as interim site controller for a Site when required
- Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising Internal Controls Analyst
- Maintain effective working relationships all PMT Businesses and other HON SBGs as required
- Assist in implementing strong controls processes in growth projects, investments, M&A, integration, etc.
- Give other advice on financial matters as needed
- Travel up to 25% may be required as part of visiting PMT Locations around Asia

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or equivalent preferred but not required
- Minimum of 7 years relevant Finance experience in Accounting and Controls, Controllership, and/or Audit

Additional Qualifications:
- Strong Verbal and Written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think strategically and solve problems
- Experience providing finance support in a manufacturing environment
- Independent, self-starter, with a strong work ethic, high degree of motivation and the ability to contribute to a positive team attitude
- Proven dedication to teamwork, leadership and integrity within a professional environment
- Ability to present complex analysis with clarity and professionalism, must be comfortable interacting with senior level management and portray a strong professional image
- Thorough understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and metrics
- Knowledge of internal controls processes, Sarbanes-Oxley and US GAAP is essential
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills and influences change where appropriate
- SAP experience preferred
- Fluent in English
