Role Summary/Purpose
The Materials / Logistics Leader will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Essential Responsibilities
* Provide manufacturing leadership in the developing, planning and implementing the master schedule * Lead activities that encompass detailed manufacturing plans and scheduling for assembly, shops, satellites, domestic, International and Revenue Share partners * Act on all matters pertaining to schedules, status, and inventory and translate, prepare and assign meaningful and functional productivity plans to meet established master schedules for customers * Assist in the calculation of detailed schedules for equipment, materials and manpower with respect to schedule needs versus resource capabilities * Work to control inventory levels, cycle time, machine loads, and other aspects as required to meet schedules * Develop, plan, and manage programs to meet GE purchasing commitments in Sourcing * Manage the complete purchasing and contract administration functions of low dollar / less complex hardware or services as required to meet program commitments * Coordinate all production teams’ material status, production priorities, and delivery commitments

Qualifications/Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in a production planning, production control, sourcing or configuration control role)* At least 3 additional years of experience in production planning, production control, sourcing or configuration control* Willingness and ability to travel 25% of the time * Ability to identify and implement process improvements and best practices* Ability to coordinate multiple priorities at one time* Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily * Strong negotiation skills* Knowledge of shop operations, facilitations, production control, manufacturing or materials functions* Familiar with production control systems and routines* Strong analytical skills* Demonstrated oral and written communication skills* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
