Role Summary/Purpose
Global Operations – Properties, part of the Global Growth & Operations organization (GGO), provides innovative solutions to the company’s real estate needs around the world. Our work includes lease and purchase transactions, regulatory compliance, property management, and construction projects. The Transaction Lead will be part of a team of real estate professionals that is responsible for supporting the transactions of the Portfolio Management team.
Essential Responsibilities
Support transactional activity for acquisitions, disposals, lease extensions, lease terminations and property surplus activity for GE business units as directed by the Portfolio Manager. Provide critical compliance service and support on transactional activity, ensuring business compliance with GE policy. Provide portfolio analysis to support strategic business planning and workload management. Continually focus on data improvement/system utilization. Manage the systems approval process and data integrity relevant to transactions using online transaction tracking and database technology tool(s). Support management of real estate service providers. Support ongoing communication with key business stakeholders via verbal and written updates and reports. Gather necessary information to Financial Accounting Standards Board accounting reviews which are part of transactional management. Monitor and ensure Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) compliance on all transactions, working with the relevant EHS managers. Monitor and ensure legal compliance on real estate deals working with the company's in-house legal counsel. Assist with strategic planning and tactical execution for real estate projects with focus on identifying potential cost savings/business synergies across GE businesses.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with minimum 3+ years of Real Estate transaction knowledge and experience (with an emphasis on tenant representation or operational experience) in a property related role OR a graduate of GE's Property Management Program, Financial Management Program, Experienced Commercial Leadership Program or Corporate Audit Staff, or a current GE Leadership Program employee graduating with the upcoming class)Abillity to understand and execute basic real estate transactionsFluency (speaking, reading, and writing) in Chinese and EnglishAbility to understand financial models and strong financial aptitudeProven data management skillsComputer skills/proficient in real estate applications and tools, as well as Microsoft office products (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
