Role Summary/Purpose

The JV IT Engineering Tools Leader will have strategic and operational responsibilities for JV systems and software engineering tools. This will include developing engineering tools strategy, manage vendor relationships for key engineering tools, and manage projects implementation to realize the strategy and deliver productivity.

Essential Responsibilities

Partner with C919 engineering community to define systems and software engineering tools requirements for JV. Engage tool vendors in software licensing negotiation, procurement and tools implementation. Serve as direct supervisor of detailed IT implementation and support activities for engineering applications. Act as subject matter expert for engineering processes, supporting applications functionality and primary liaison to engineering functions. Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for project initiation and completion within functional area. Provide leadership in the planning, evaluation, design, development, implementation, and operation of engineering tools solution. Evaluate and/or produce business plans and operating practices, which improve quality, increase - productivity and reduce costs. Lead the preparation of long range systems plans and assure that they are in tune with business objectives and goals. Work as a business partner with client leaders and users to evaluate / improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions. Maintain effective communication with customer, client, supplier and system’s management. Maintain current knowledge of information technologies that are applicable to business objectives and creatively promote their use. Define and establish engineering tools standards, practices, and promote their creation Initiate and coordinate outsourced supplier efforts as required. Prepare, present and review overall Information Technology plans, status reports and cost / benefit studies

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited universityAt least 5 additional years of experience in business planning, resource allocation, and the project management of information technology implementations
