Supervisor’s Title: China Controller
Basic Function: Brief statement indicating why the role exists and its function
l Provides leadership and support for Business members to ensure they have adequate knowledge of financial performance, reporting, and measurement to make sound business decisions.
l Support the controlling team in Business and Finance transversal improvement projects
l The Wholegoods Controller has the responsibility of the full P&L , GOA and Cash flow for China.
l Ensures the integrity of the financial data and that it reflects the real economic activity
l Improve the financial performance of the area
Main projects your are working on
l Take in charge the Commercial controlling activity
l Coordinate closing, forecasting and budgeting processes
l Set up appropriate level of GOA, CAPEX and Cash Flow Control
l Lead any productivity project (Logistic, Pricing, Freight…) for the area
l Comply with the accounting rules and company policies
l Ensure the integrity of the data in the CNH financial tools
l Reflect the real economic activity
l Interface with Legal Entities Finance Managers
l Focus on Revenues, Discounts, Warranty/Policy, Margin, SG&A, Inventory, Receivables
l Support the business leaders to improve the financial performance of their areas
l Increase the awareness of the financial data and priorities inside the sales team
l Link the financial performance to operational KPIs (market share, product mix, etc)
l Report the financials / make analyses in a way to support managerial decisions
l Forecast / measure the impact of proposed actions / optimize the use of resources
l Propose some corrective / improvement actions
Responsibilities, Accountabilities:
1) Commercial Controlling:
l Review and Authorization of Sales Contracts / Deals
l Monitoring Credit Notes
l Monitoring and coordination of Sales Allowances and Discount Commitments / Programs
l Monitoring and coordination of Warranty – Standard Monthly and True-Ups Quarterly
l Monitoring and coordination of Policy
l Monitoring and coordination of Inbound and Outbound Freight on Finished Goods
l Monitoring and coordination of Finished Goods Wholegoods O&O Reserves
l Monitoring and coordination of Net Realizable Value (NRV) Reserves
l Monitoring and coordination of Domestic Bad Debts– Support Trade Finance as Appropriate
l Monthly Margin analysis and review with Business Directors.
l Monitoring of Inventory, Receivables and other balance sheet items
l Monitoring of Cash flow
2) Support to CFO:
l Closing coordination process
l Coordination of forecasting and budgeting activities
l Flash / Best estimates for the area
l Profitability analysis for all business lines
l Develop a detailed Pricing analysis tool for the area
l Develop a Forecasting model for GOA and Cash Flow
l Set up of a standardized reporting and analyzing tool for GOA / Cash Flow by sub region
l CNH finance policy compliance
3) AUDIT / COMPLIANCE:
l Closely works with Hubs in insuring a Clean Bill of Health for the whole region
l Coordinate (together with compliance officer) Audit reviews
l Revenue Recognition Policy Application
4) PRODUCTIVITY & COSTS IMPROVEMENT:
l Lead of productivity projects for the area (Logistic, Pricing, Freight…)
5) MISCENALLEOUS:
l Support to Accounting in various controlling tasks
