Job Description
Regional Strategic Review Process
· Lead BU’s 5 years business strategy review process, prepare and consolidate the strategic documents
· Conduct situational analysis, incl. market size, share, customer segments, buying factors, competitive position
· New and insightful analytics
· Ensure logical strategy, believable financial projections, concise/complete/accurate communications.
· Process management: Agenda, timeline, templates, etc
Growth Processes
· Develop growth strategy and growth initiative processes
· Lead the implementation of growth process
· Define sources of growth for each sub-region
· Build monitoring system for growth initiatives
· Develop and conduct trainings of growth processes and strategies to each sub-region
· Liaise business team and corporate development team maintain potential M&A target profile/database
Strategic Marketing
· Member of refinish global marketing committee
· Segment strategy
Define market segmentation based on different dimensions and define mid to long term strategy on brand, channel and portfolio.
· Brand strategy
Manage regional brand platform
Ensure alignment with global brand strategy
· Pricing
Analyze cross regional pricing structure
Establish regional pricing process
· Competitive Strategy
Conduct competitive benchmarking and analysis
Develop targeted share gain strategies & actionable initiatives
· Improve regional strategic marketing capability (trainings, develop people, etc. )
· Execution of the strategy
Ensure clear communication with sub-regional commercial team about the segment strategies
Liaison the execution of the segment strategies
New Business Development
· Manage the regional innovation process and pipeline
· Member of refinish l Ideation Team, Asia Pacific gate keeper
· Conduct surveys and voice of customers to seek new needs, un-met needs, identify new opportunities.
· Develop the regional new business strategy through product line extension, new product development, positioning differentiation, strategic alliances with 3rd parties, potential acquisitions, etc. .
· Communicate with senior management to define the strategic objective for new development projects and plans; and the allocation of technical and supply chain resources.
· Lead the introduction, launch of new portfolio’s.
· Lead and support sub-area sales & marketing teams in execution and implementation.
Industry & Segment Analysis
· Conduct market segment analysis,
· Provide strategic analysis for product positioning strategy & marketing strategy
· Manage regional market intelligence platform
· Manage competitive intelligence database
Requirements:
· MBA or Degree holders in Marketing/Business or equivalent
· Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in Strategic Marketing or Planning
· Minimum 5 years of regional experience, ability to manage cross cultural complexity
· Previous experience with leading management consulting firms or chemical MNCs is clearly an advantage
· Strong interpersonal skills and be able to work with senior management and external parties to establish good working relationship
· Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills with good financial and commercial knowledge
· Diligent, enthusiastic, responsive, fast learner and good team player
· Outgoing personality highly motivated and result oriented. Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines with minimal supervision
· Good command in written and spoken English, Mandarin;
· Proficient in Advanced MS Office applications
