Purpose of Role
Project Manager in NAS CPO is responsible for successful delivery of IT projects as part of client implementations or system implementations in NAS. He/She is the primary driver during project delivery ensuring solution is delivered as per clients/business specifications on time and on budget agreed.

The main responsibility for the Project Manager NAS CPO

Responsible of the project meeting their objectives and deliverables well as management of the project team, budget and financial reporting.
Accountable for the coordinated management of a project or a group of projects.
?Works with Project Team to:
ensure the ultimate success of the project
manage cost
maintain schedule
manage risk
maximize technical performance of component projects and operations
manage stakeholders
Establishing and keeping the plan updated
Recommend the approval of project plans, project closure, key project deliverables and major changes in project directions to the steering committee
Facilitate and participate in collaboration and coordination between Architecture and Service Management.
Participate and drive project progress, status reviews, and other identified quality assurance activities
Ensure communication of project progress and directions to members of the client organization and steering committee
Resolve or escalate issues, risks and problems to the identified authority when the situation so requires
Ensure project solutions are approved by necessary parties like:
Head of Solution team
Head of PM
Service Management
Operations / business partners
Human Resources
Ensure the project team has sufficient resources throughout the project life circle. Both in terms of in-house and external resources
Ensure clear roles and responsibilities are in place for all parties related to the programme/project
Ensure motivated resources showing good team spirit
Other responsibilities
Ensure payment to suppliers are checked and paid timely
Ensure Office facilities are in place for all persons related to the project
Besides from being accountable for the quality of all project specific documents, the Project Manager is responsible for the following:
Requirements Definition:
Phase end approval (jointly with SOL)
Analysis:
Select supplier (if has to be outsourced, otherwise will be with DEV team)
Ensure Analyses and Design contract in place
Phase end approval
Solution development /design:
Phase end approval
Test:
Phase end approval (testing conducted by PM and Business PM)
System Implementation:
Ensure SLA in place with support in alignment with customer requirements
Phase end approval

Enablers for success – knowledge and experience
The position owner needs to have significant experience in IT project managements. Knowledge of latest Damco application developments and systems is a plus. He/she needs to have a good understanding of our existing products and services are executed at origin and preferably also destination and the internal processes and systems used for same.
Certification in PMI, PMP or similar desired.

Enablers for success – soft skills
Biggest success criteria in this role are strong project management skills and superior communications skills to work with relevant stakeholders at all levels through the organisation. Possess a good understanding of our current platform, systems and functions to be able to offer and promote cross product solutions.

As the role is client facing then you will have to show a good presentation and communication skill with which you will be able to convey a message in a clear and structured manner, both by written and oral communication.
