Retail Banking and Wealth Management

Retail Banking and Wealth Management leverages HSBC’s global retail banking expertise and wealth management capabilities to deliver a broad range of world-class retail banking solutions to millions of customers. Driving for growth in key markets around the world, the business comprises areas such as retail banking, wealth management, insurance and asset management, with a focus on customer-centric propositions and innovative and efficient distribution channels that will differentiate our customer experience and deliver market leading retail banking and wealth management solutions.



We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Senior Wealth Development Manager RBWM HBCN.

In this role, you will:


·Ensure the Wealth Strategy in the local market is established, consistent with the global proposition.

·Oversee the development and management of an enhanced Wealth product suite and wealth solutions to enhance servicing of the target customer segments locally and align to the direction from the Region and the Group.

·Product evaluation and selection appropriate to local market (e.g. tax, compliance specifics) and liaise with the Region and the Group to align the local requirements and understanding.

·Continuously improve the wealth management capability of the business.

·Accountable for making a significant contribution to the achievement of the Wealth plan by developing the infrastructure to support the face to face salesforce in achievement of its objectives.

·Drive product infrastructure and tools and channel capability for customers to improve digital wealth distribution.

·Support Head of Wealth Sales by providing technical and regulatory knowledge education and upskilling to product experts and wealth coaches.

·Partner with Regional Managers & Head of Wealth Sales to ensure management of RMs (including hiring, training, goal setting, performance management & reward) is aligned with Wealth Management strategy.

·Partner with Regional Managers to set, track and manage distribution of Wealth products and services (including sales goals, channel preference, service levels, etc.)

·Oversee the customer journey in the face to face sales channel working in close collaboration with the Head of Direct, Head of Business Performance, Head of Wealth Sales, Head of CVM and Regional Managers.


To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:


·Proven experience in wealth management with relevant background in products, research, platform and sales.

·Knowledge of the local regulated market including sales process, pertinent regulations impacting retail banking activities and delivery systems and channels, including market potential as well as the regulatory framework.

·A thorough understanding of a multichannel business model is essential.

·Strong business acumen, provide Wealth thought leadership and innovation.

·Strong team leadership skills and ability to operate effectively in a complex matrix environment.

·Able to influence, engage and lead in a positive, inspiring manner.
