Role Summary/Purpose
work location can be Shanghai or Beijing, Shanghai preferred

Essential Responsibilities
• Be responsible for driving quality for assigned suppliers, improving quality performance via Quality Plan implementation
• Drive supplier selection through robust qualification processes
• Accelerate improvements in supplier quality and deliver value
• Tracking project progress and ensure on time delivery
• Develop positive relationships and work closely with Sourcing Leaders to manage and implement supplier/engineering changes, New Product Introductions, and transfers
• Interface with Suppliers and Supply chain to drive Quality improvements
• Deliver results as measured by key metrics, such as Cost of Quality (CoQ)/Cost of Failure (CoF), qualification on time rate, supplier quality plan engagement / effectiveness, and corrective & preventative action closure
• Drive improvements utilizing Supplier Scorecards and own Supplier audit, ensuring supplier compliance, and driving improvement plans
• Understand and drive Six Sigma / Lean quality internally and with suppliers
• Provide Quality Engineering expertise requiring advanced/specialized skills and a broad range of quality engineering expertise
• Specify, develop, and accept advanced technology, quality information and test equipment
• Provide advanced Quality Engineering of new product introduction involving new processes or advanced automated equipment
• Act as consultant to the Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering organizations to improve Quality and Manufacturing processes, introduce new products and improve product design
• Provide leadership role during investigations of major problems and of special projects

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with Major on Mechanical, Casting and or Forging
• 5+ years Machining experience with Steel/Iron Casting/Forging related is perfected
• A minimum of 3 additional years of experience in a Sourcing or Quality Improvement role, Sourcing, Manufacturing or Quality Improvement role
• Strong problem solving and continuous improvement mindset
• Strong oral and written communication skills
