Responsibilities

1. Evaluate customer requirements for standard and custom vehicle instrumentation, select and recommend products, develop and maintain documentation, troubleshoot problems, train customer personnel, identify new opportunities that can be turned into sales prospects;

2. Application engineer will serve as liaison between the customer and Brand Products, provide support for specific projects and assist with planning and implementation;

3. Application engineer may be get involved deeply in the new product design projects, eventually participating in software development, and Brand Products production engineering in China;

4. Applications engineer will have a strong working relationship with the sales team and other engineers globally;

5. Applications engineer will have to be participating in software development and maintenance;

Qualifications

1. B.S. degree in electronic/electrical engineering, preferably electronics, is required.

2. Knowledge of electronics and soldering processes for both through-hole and SMT components is a plus but not an absolute requirement.

3. Experience in designing or testing or manufacturing vehicle instrumentation or instrument clusters is a must.

4. Ability to use and oscilloscope and other electronic monitoring equipment such as multimeters and signal generators is necessary.

5. An understanding of mechanical devices and how things work, basic skills in Autocad or a similar CAD tool is a requirement.

6. Experience programming in C language for embedded systems is a requirement.

7. Must be bilingual: Chinese and English is mandatory.

8. Must be motivated, energetic, technical, self-directed and organized with excellent communications skills—verbal and written—capable of working in a team environment for a growing, progressive, process-oriented enterprise.

9. Okay for business trips often and work on-site with clients.
