职位描述
Department: IT, CPO, Damco, North Asia
Purpose of Role
Senior developer will be team member of IT development, which owns all IT development delivery based on agreed change requirements and new functional specifications. He/she will assist team lead and review functional specifications for solution enhancements prepared by the Business Systems Team. He/she takes the accountability for the design specification, estimation, coding and unit testing of assigned IT development tasks in line with agreed standards and governance with CEN and regionally and for the management of third party vendors to deliver all or part of the deliverables.
The main responsibility for the Senior Developer
1. Deliver development projects and change requirements as assigned, including WMS, LNS, BST and other IT product owned/supported by NAS CPO
2. Ensure proper release for all products and hand-over to Support team for maintenance;
3. Keep track of problem fix after delivery and ensure over-all product quality;
4. Follow the compliance with global IT governance on project life cycle, technical framework and coding standard;
5. Recommend solution optimization and automation and provide IT consultancy service to the customer that could extend to development for other APM and Damco entities;
6. Follow SLA with Business Systems as the internal customer and assist managing external development vendors, ensure they follow the SLA;
7. Meet KPI as specified by team leader, based on successfully delivered CRs and development projects and in driving for excellence.
8. Share knowledge/experience within team and ensure the team delivers a high customer satisfaction on project/CR delivery
Main Tasks
1. Review functional requirements with the Business Systems Project Manager. Recommend solution(s) optimization from system perspective.
2. Carry out system design as assigned task. Ensure the proposed solution align with IT governance and is estimated based on time/delivery.
3. Carry out development as assigned tasks according to scheduled development plan. Ensure design spec is in place prior to the development. Prioritize tasks across product/team as agreed with team leader.
4. Carry out testing and code-review as assigned task. Ensure delivery meet the requirements and align with coding standard.
5. Engage external vendors as arranged by team leader. Oversee external delivery on schedule and with good quality, enforce proper testing and code-review.
6. Prepare release package of product as scheduled. Provide documentation and hand-over to support team for implementation and maintenance.
7. Keep track of issues and ensure problem fix is in place as per SLA agreed with Business Systems.
8. Providing input from IT perspective for ad-hoc tasks and discussion.
Enablers for success - knowledge and experience
The position owner needs to have extended experience in IT products and technology as well as latest Damco application developments and systems. He or she needs to have a good understanding of our existing products and their architecture. A strong IT development background is essential along with the understanding of relational databases, alternative system methodologies and development lifecycles and working knowledge of MSF. Coding experience in SQL, .NET is a must. Knowledge and experience on IDX developer and/or Highjump Advantage Architect is an advantage.

Biggest success criteria in this role is the ability of understanding functional business requirements and turning into technical specifications. Also the position owner is given the chance to manage external resource and communicate with business owners, and gain communication skills as well as project management skills. Being able to communicate with internal and external parties at a technical level is essential.
