Job Discriptions:
Makes certain all equipment needed for moving goods is available and in safe working condition. Provides required training for staff handling biohazards and other potentially dangerous goods. Assures materials and chemical are stored, handled and shipped in accordance with all China regulatory requirements
Work in cooperation with the Integrated Services Manager and staff, Logistics management, and end users in cost centers to ensure a seamless flow of supplies movement to meet needs
Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
Research and determine import and export requirements of international and country-specific regulatory bodies (MOH, CIQ, DOH, SFDA etc.) in China and current countries serviced
Aligh courier service deliverables with Covance regional and globa objectives, including management reports, proactive tracking capabilities and communication plans.
Establish emergency contingency and shipment recovery plans and procedures to compensate for regulatory/opertional changes that may disrupt operations, such as strikes, customs closing, etc.
Understand documentation requirements for international shipping and country-specific regulatory compliance,includin dangerous good reguations and restrictions, what level of detail is necessary, and what forms are needed.
Be the primary resource for day-to-day issue resolution regarding lost and/or delayed shipments, customs clearance issues, and others as needed.
Keeps contact with couriers in order to control and follow up inbound and outbound shipments.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Global Logistics management.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 2-3 years supervisor experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel preferred.
Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills required.
Ability to work independently with minumal supervision.
Experience in CRO industry and cold chain logistics management.
Strong oral and written communication skill.
Ability to effectively interact with staff at all levels of organization with diplomacy and tact.
