About Risk
We support clients in identifying, understanding and managing risk and help ensure an appropriate balance between risks and opportunities. Also, we assist businesses in designing and implementing governance and compliance programs to ensure that the company continues to operate within the boundaries of relevant legislation and regulations. This includes building a culture of doing the right thing. We bring in-depth knowledge in the following fields:
- Provides risk consulting services mainly Financial Services clients
- Credit risk: credit risk modelling and associated recommendation, credit operational risk
- Market risk: financial instrument valuation, trading strategy
- Insurance risk: life/non-life, actuarial valuation

Responsibilities:

We are looking for candidates at senior associate or associate levels in the Consulting - Risk practice for our Shanghai office. The Risk practice provides services to financial institutions for enhancing their risk management and/ or meeting Basel/Solvency regulatory requirements.

The candidates are expected to play an important role in advising our clients on ALM and/or Liquidity Management area, creating solutions for ERM including risk parameters (PD/LGD/ EAD/VaR and other KRIs) estimation, application of the risk parameters, economic capital modeling/management and process improvement for credit/market/operational/insurance risk management. The candidates will also provide services in relation to regulatory compliance, including review on client's self-assessment on ERM/Basel/Solvency compliance, management training to clients, recommendations to clients on their responses to regulators' comments.


Requirements:

• Degree holder in finance, financial engineering, economics, mathematics, statistics. risk management or actuarial background is preferable;
• Professional qualifications (CFA/FRM/FSA/FIA/FIAA/CPA) holders are preferred;
• Fresh graduate or with one years' relevant experience for associate level;
• Three to five years' relevant experience for senior associate level;
• Strong experience in ALM and or/ Liquidity Management, risk modelling for risk parameters (PD/ LGD/ EAD/ VaR) estimation and/or the application of the risk parameters in business decision, limit management, pricing and risk monitoring is a plus;
• Solid understanding of risk management function in the context of a financial institution is required.
• Solid articulation, analytical and quantitative skills are an advantage for candidates with career focuses on risk measurement advisory services.
• Good knowledge of MS applications, VBA/SAS/Matlab/Prophet/Moses/Axis knowledge is a plus;
• Strong communication and writing skills;
• Willingness to travel for short to medium durations within the Greater China region;
• Proficiency in both written and spoken Mandarin and/or Cantonese will be highly regarded.
