Position: Key Account Manager, XXX Personal Care China
Reports To: President of KPC
Direct Reports: No direct reports currently, but does require extensive coordination of resources from multiple functions within Personal Care
Overall Function: The Key Account Manager is responsible for selling XXX's programs, products and services to prospective customers in the personal care industry in China.
Major Responsibilities:
? To develop the market for XXX Personal Care products and achieve sales and margin targets in China.
? The Key Account Manager has specific responsibilities in each step of the sales process to ensure that a sale is successfully completed. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Identifying prospective customers
o Developing customer based strategic plans for new and existing customers
o Establishing relationships with individuals at all levels of a customer's organization
o Working with distributors to maximize their success at selling KPC products.
o Making technical sales presentations on XXX programs/products
o Closing the sale and implementing the startup programs.
Qualifications & Experience:
? University graduate.
? Entrepreneurial spirit, high degree of energy, self starter and risk taker.
? Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
? 5-7 years previous experience in technical sales in the personal care industry.
? Experience in the natural segment desired.
? A solid understanding of the chemical and biological sciences in order to prepare and present detailed technical and commercial presentations to prospective customers.
? Prior experience in managing sales projects to a successful completion.
? Proficiency with technology tools, including CRMs, Microsoft Office products and database development programs.
? Excellent communications skills, with a minimal English test score of TOEIC 610 or relative oral English level.
Working Conditions: The Key Account Manager will be responsible for selling to customers throughout China. Extensive travel, by car and by air, will be required. This position is considered to be 40 hours per week, but requires tremendous flexibility and the ability to multi-task. The position will be located in China, either Guangzhou or Shanghai.
