Department Description: OEM Software Development and Integration for imager based barcode capture devices
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
? Support existing and new OEM customers in APAC to solve software decoder issues
? Support existing and new OEM customers in APAC to integrate SDL and SDC into their devices
? Assist existing APAC OEM partners with joint technical calls to link their customers as to the benefits of the Motorola technical support.
? Work with the OEM customers to ensure that the teams are educated, supported, and trained in the Motorola OEM software products
? Set-up and operate devices for customer demonstrations and evaluations
? Facilitate and support joint demand generation initiatives with the APAC OEM Sales Team.
? Attend internal planning meetings/conference calls with the regional OEM team and US software development teams
? Support Sales to focus on driving SDC (software decoder) business in APAC territory
? Ensure all materials on software decode is up to date and disseminated to the OEM TA’s across APAC
? Ensure immediate execution and follow up of any prospective design-in, via the internal Executive Approval Process
? Interact closely with the US software development team
? Transfer industry, technical, and product knowledge to customers and partners
? Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services
? Reply to email requests for information promptly and accurately
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
? The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of successful software technical and developing experience.
? Degree in software engineering is a preferred as well familiarity with embedded operating systems such as Windows CE, Windows Mobile, Linux and Android etc.
? Must be proficient in C/C++, Java and .Net experience is desirable
? Basic electrical engineering skills desired, read schematics and datasheets, operate a oscilloscope, etc.
? Familiarity with ARM7/ARM9 application processors from various vendors and the ability of implement and debug device drivers is mandatory
