The Marketing Team at Amazon is responsible for all external communications with our customers wherever those customers are. Our communication channels include Paid and Natural Search, Display Advertising, Email, Amazon’s Associates program, Social Network Marketing and more. Now the Amazon China Marketing team is seeking a senior individual to manage all of Amazon China’s cross site event business. As the Senior Cross-Site Marketing Manager in the Amazon China marketing organization, you will help the entire company to establish the Amazon China promotion mechanism. You will: plan and drive cross-site promotions, develop event business, analyze large amounts of data, and discover the value of the events. You will be response for the planning of site-wide events by focusing on our customers. You will develop marketing communication strategies for site-wide events, establish the channel and closely work with multiple Amazon core departments (i.e. retail team, operation team, finance team) as a whole, to launch site wise event, drive company-wide traffic and sales to a larger scale. You will solve cross team problems, build channel methodology and continue to improve channel performance.
The ideal candidate will bring a sharp analytical mind, have strong coordination ability, experienced people management skill, and can roll up his/her sleeves to get things done. He/she has to have customer orientated mindset and experienced in marketing communication skill. Key responsibilities include:
? Establish Amazon China promotion mechanism; supervise cross-team promotion planning, promotion design. Guard customer experience and company profitability.
? Standardize company-wide promotion operation, improve promotion quality and efficiency.
? Define Event business scope and context; discover the value of site-wide event business.
? Establish a marketing Event Business channel, develop Amazon event calendar by partnering with marketing team, retail team, and finance team; improve promotion operation; create promotion measurements and more.
? Develop a healthy business model on cross-site marketing promotion to drive customer shop across different categories, improve customer shipping frequency with a healthy return on investment.
? Understand the Chinese online market as well as the Chinese online shoppers; build promotion offering plan to cater to Chinese customers’ needs.
? Partner with worldwide analytics team, local finance team, marketing BI team to measure the result of event.
Basic Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s degree
? 7+ years in experience in online marketing or marketing
? 5+ years senior level experience managing a team
? A experienced planner, strong ability on cross team coordination
? Strong ability on data driven solution development, with demonstrated ability to dive deep into customer data and translate findings into event improvement plan
? Strong ability on cross-team coordination and delivering results
? An ambitious self-starter with excellent communication and follow-through skills
Preferred Qualifications:
? A degree in Statistics, Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising or related field is preferred
? Retail P&L management plus online marketing experience is preferred
? Effective problem-solver and strategic thinker; demonstrated ability to analyze data and develop fact-based recommendations to persuade stakeholders
