Description
Amazon China Marketing Team is responsible for bridging Amazon product and service with consumers including both existing and potential customers. We are working hard to communicate with customers through multiple, diversified and dynamic marketing tools covering a bunch of online and offline advertising channels. Our goal is to approach every single customer with right content through right channel at right time. We are now seeking for a senior individual to work with us and lead customer analytics as well as overall efforts of business intelligence. The candidate on this position is expected to lead customer analytics and data mining efforts in Amazon China meanwhile propose scalable and sustainable customer oriented programs for new customer acquisition and return customer retention. The position is also responsible for analyzing and understanding the sizable customer database and present meaningful insights to senior management and business partners to support business decision making.

Responsibilities
* Define customer segmentation methodology and consumer behavior interpretation approach to
support business decision making.
* Identify analytics opportunities and attain buy-in from senior management team and business partners.
* Work with business partners to develop statistically valid and methodologically sound approaches for
customer and business analytics, translate into implementable initiatives.
* Execute quick turn and long-lead analytics projects providing insights into customer performance and
business trends.
* Develop models and tools for insightful program analysis, customer analysis and business predictions.
* Efficiently program queries and macros to execute the analysis.
* Publish and communicate results, ensuring timely and accurate reports are delivered to senior
management team and business partners.
* Work with business users, program teams, database teams and other technical teams to provide
views of data tracking through internal tools, meanwhile facilitat proper detail addressing and auditing.
Requirements
* Highly analytical with proven track record in data-rich analysis, experience with customer segmentation,
* Extremely strong communication skills to deliver meaningful insights from complex analysis to explain
analytical outcomes and technical roadblocks in business terms.
* Ability to efficiently manage and implement quick-turnaround, tactical projects as a team player.
* A “do-er” and self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment
* Highly responsive and adaptable.
* Skilled at exercising cross-functional influence.
* Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills
* Proactive, results-oriented and organized with ability to succeed in a highly-matrixed organization
Qualifications
* 5+ yrs of demonstrated success in data or business analytics.
* High-level proficiency in SAS, SPSS, SQL Server or other analytical tools.
* Hands-on experience with Campaign Management and Data Query Business Intelligence Software.
(Omniture, Business-Objects, Brio, Cognos, MicroSmart or MicroStrategy).
* Thorough knowledge of the theory, techniques, and applications of CRM and statistical concepts
including RFM, LTV, clustering, linear and logistic regression, CHAID, t-tests, ANOVA and response
modeling.
* Consumer electronics retailing and online commerce experience is preferred.
* International work experience is preferred.
* BA required in statistics, economics, computer science or a related field.
