Our Client is a leading developer based in Beijing, and they now require a safety manager to join their team in Beijing.



Ensure that all on site contractors involved in the project to work safely on project construction site:



· Review site safety policy from contractors.

· Set up the project safety committee with the contractors and attend the committee monthly meeting.

· Review site security procedures.

· Review safety inspection reports of construction works on daily basis.

· Set up safety inductions for all workers attending site.

· Implement, manage and conduct safety tours.

· Manage the contractor to complete site safety drill.

· Advise client on site management/safety issues.

· Issue warnings to contractors regarding unsafe site practice.

· Advise all agencies to comply with Environment, Health and Safety Rules

· Coordinate investigation and resolution for safety accidents.

· Provide assistance to government agencies for investigation of any site safety issues.



TECHNICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:



· Occupational safety training certificate.

· English proficiency.

· Ability to prepare project safely plan and conduct safety audit.

· Skill in organizing tool box meetings, regular site safety meetings, safety site walks.

· Proficient in administrative and project computer applications such Word, Excel, and MS Project.

· Initiative minded for EHS programs which can be implemented to improve construction site safety.





INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

· Motivate contractor safety officers to perform to their potential.

· Provide leadership to site safety team.

· Maintain and cultivate good relationship with client including all stakeholders.

· Manage construction team members to achieve enthusiastic and effective contribution to the project.

· Communicate effectively with entire project team.



EDUCATION/ WORK EXPERIENCE:



· Posses a four year degree from an accredited postsecondary institute within construction engineering or occupational safety or related field of study with work experience in excess of five (5) years in occupational safety field.



A strong understanding of all aspects of Development Management including, financial appraisal, risk management, negotiation, etc
