Trade Product Manager

Responsibilities:

The trade product team lead is expected to identify, develop and roll out new trade finance product program to facilitate trade sales in driving the revenue growth. The job will require close interaction with both external and internal customers, managing a team of product managers and working closely with Group TB.

The key responsibilities:

• Develop standard product pricing policies
• Keeping pulse on importers' and exporters' evolving banking needs and package core services to meet those needs
• Prioritize, drive & execute product initiatives and one-off programs with stakeholders to promote adoption by customers
• Ensure that all product solutions are aligned with regulatory requirements
• Create product awareness and conduct training programs for sales and customer support
• Work with Marketing to develop standard sales kits, printed brochures and other relevant sales tools for sales team
• Rollout trade campaigns to drive revenue for different segments
• Provide product/technical expertise support during sales road shows and customer focus group discussions
• Engage product partners, i.e. Ops, Legal, Credit, Compliance etc., to achieve product goals
• Perform regular product/market analysis
• Understand and manage trade data for management reporting as well as to understand the trend to generate potential sales leads/industry (data mining) for sales team
• Good grounding on processing methodologies, GL entries, facilities structuring, trade systems and Basel concept
• Perform customer needs analysis and define product solutions / capabilities
• Validate new product ideas in market place
• Perform competitive analysis and market sizing
• Write and maintain product approval programs and transaction memorandums for new products
• Liaise with internal and external suppliers and partners on business requirements and needs
  
  

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in the field of trade finance
• Strong trade finance technical and operational background with Financial Institutions
• Possess strong in-depth knowledge of trade concepts, regulations and practices
• Motivated, driven and ambitious and looking for challenges
• All-round team player
• Strong analytical skills with an eye for details
• Good business, financial planning and analysis skills
• Strong interpersonal, oral/written communication skills
• Effectively negotiates with peers or superiors to achieve appropriate solutions
• Good understanding of bank operational processes
• Good business acumen and strong customer focus
