Role Summary/Purpose


Essential Responsibilities
Partner with senior leadership to develop strategy and be a leader in executing on GE’s growth strategy in China.

Deep understanding of business strategies, priorities and policies in China. Develop and execute specific, multi-faceted strategies on priority government policy issues.

Partner with other GE government Affairs teams in GE Businesses, form and implement strategies and across borders.

Represent GE before government policy-makers and –shapers, including Chinese governmental and regulatory bodies

Build network of relevant contacts in third-party organizations to execute GE government relations priorities.

Qualifications/Requirements
Significant government relations/political/policy experience with Chinese government agencies & corporate advocacy in China. Graduate or equivalent in law / political science/ economics

Demonstrated experience operating in a highly regulated environment.

Demonstrated experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business entities in an extremely fast paced environment.Proven leadership and team-building skills. Ability to operate effectively in multi-cultural business environment.?Strong English-language skills, both spoken and written.

Ability to develop strategy and work with others to achieve effective implementation

Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization

Ability to work well both independently and in a team setting

Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others

Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate business issues in an easy to understand manner
