Role Summary/Purpose

“Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is a focused solution to GE's ever-increasing need for high caliber, technically superior, self-confident business and technology leaders in key roles of influence. EEDP is committed to growing GE's entry level, high potential resources—people with a Passion for Technology, a drive for technical excellence, business skills, and GE values.

Essential Responsibilities

EEDP is a two-year entry-level program consisting of fourrotational assignments. Rotational assignments are engineering projects driven by real GE business priorities. These assignments may include experience in: systems, analysis and design for Power & Water business. The program cultivates technical problem-solving skills via advanced engineering coursework, formal reports and presentations to senior leadership, in addition to valuable work experience.Plan and perform assigned tasks within the framework of areas’ schedules, budget, quality and cost constraints while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness · Demonstrate ability to understand and apply engineering fundamentals in the business environment · Demonstrate analytical / problem solving through number orientation. The rotations may include but not limited to : •Mechanical design for products in Industrial Solutions •Design Concept generation, engineering calculation and simulation •Create design drawings •Design document generation •Co-work with cross functional team such as Electronics, Sourcing, Quality and plant etc •Guide vender on parts and components manufacturing •Test prototype to verify design

Qualifications/Requirements

-Master/Bachelor of Engineering (Min CGPA out of 10 would be 7.5). -Passion for technology . Demonstrated academic excellence. Commitment to technology and quality. -Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills-Good English skill to handle global team work.

Desired Characteristics

-Basic understanding of engineering and/or manufacturing fundamentals· -Strong oral and written communication skills· -Strong interpersonal and leadership skills-Good knowledge of tools such as Solidworks; AutoCAD, Pro/E and ANSYS , etc
