Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

The Engineering Program Manager will be responsible to manage projects related to the development of electronic control equipment for GE Transportation. The expectation is that the program manager will track project schedules and supply a host of support activity relating to those projects including enforcing project timeline accountability, managing the tollgate process, generating and maintaining project time lines to insure program accountability and timeliness and also identifying project bottlenecks and working with the team to identify solutions in order to keep the projects on track.

Qualifications/Requirements

- At least 15 years of experience in the development/manufacturing of printed circuit boards assemblies for embedded controls in an electromechanical systems environment. - Extensive experience in people management in an electronic control development environment. - Solid experience with microprocessor controlled systems, software, firmware and VHDL/programmable logic. - Solid experience with generating product specifications and documentation. - Extensive experience in writing project test plans and test reports and - Experience in test equipment development and automated test. - Knowledge of Microsoft Office toolset and Project is also required. - Bachelor of Science on Electrical & Electronics above or equivalent.Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance and Expectations:To ensure your 100% compliance with the Safe Production Law of P.R. China and with GE's EHS Policy (20.3), all CTC employees must: understand and comply with CTC's EHS Policy, safety instructions and established job specific safety procedures and rules; correctly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE); obey PPE signals; complete applicable EHS training; participate in accident, injury & illness prevention activities; enhance their knowledge of risk mitigation and emergency response skills ; and timely report near-miss cases, unsafe conditions and acts.

Desired Characteristics

- Experience in writing of VHDL quality processes documents- Experience with managing corporate tollgate processes.- Good communication in both English and Chinese. - Hands-on engineering design experience- Experience in qualifying/validating electronic control products to environmental standards for EMC, thermal, vibration and shock. - Eperience with industrial quality systems and will be able to participate in improving industrial quality and process standards. - Experience with product reliability testing including HALT testing
