Job Description

Color Manager
Location: Shanghai
Reports to: Technical Manager

Requirements for Job (education or experience required to be able to perform this job):
1. BSc degree or above in Chemistry or Chemical engineering with at least 5year practical technical experience in product formulation development and color related work and 2 years experience as a group leader is necessary.
2. The position requires strong technical background in coating related area with a sound base experience in a process industry, color related work experience will be preferred.
3. The leadership, good communication skill and teamwork are also required for this position.
Good English in written and oral.
4. Basic presentation skill and basic computer skill like PPT excel etc.

Key Objectives/Principal Accountabilities (kindly limit to a maximum of eight)
1. Manage and implement all relevant projects assigned by the technical manager from the yearly Technical Department Objective in accordance with Company HSE&S and Product Stewardship requirements
2. To establish & manage teams' objectives, review team's plan and report development progress.
3. To provide effective technical supports to Marketing, Sales and Operation regarding to color, including new color developing (MTO), color database maintenance and improving color RFT and color accuracy etc.
4. To support Logistic team by developing tinting formula, and provide necessary service to national MP tinting and Depot tinting and POS tinting
5. To manage color project regarding to RM/base changes or new color software/hardware technology update.
6. Customer complaints handling regarding color part and make corrective and preventive actions accordingly, communicate with other functions to reduce total color complaint ratio.
7. Manage and provide efficient solution to support new product development regarding color part.
8. Maintain and regularly review ISO procedures and internal process pertaining to Technical department

Functional Responsibilities/Network (kindly limit to a maximum of five)
1. Work with AN Group color team on key projects, color recipe generation, fandeck approval and test methods unification.
2. Meet with suppliers to keep abreast of advances in color technology; exploit possible technical opportunities.
3. Work with marketing team to set up annual color flight plan and deliver related color project in term of agreed plan on time.
4. Support PRC/HK/TW to finish color validation and new database setting up.
5. Work with CCC/sales to support panel preparation and new color formulation.
6. Work with supply Chain team continuously improves color related process to reduce color complaint.
