职位描述
Summary of Position
The engineer is responsible for providing support for the plant process control systems to ensure that the systems are reliable and capable of providing the functionality required by the plant and maintained to standards consistent with current technology. This position leads the daily maintenance work for control system, instrumentations, electrical system and instrument functions of HVAC system. The engineer will also be responsible for managing a variety of projects related with instrumentation and electrical system troubleshooting and improvement.
Key End Results
1.Process Control System Administration
l The engineer will be responsible for long-term reliability and functionality of the process control systems. This will include monitoring long-term system performance and recommending upgrades/replacements for improved performance, directing others in how best to utilize the control systems, and developing strategies on how to improve and maintain all the control systems. This position will also interface with IT engineer as needed to develop integration strategies between the control system and the site networks.

2.Technical Support from Instrumentation Automatic Control Perspective
l The instrumentation engineer will perform as a technical leader in instrumentation, process control system and electrical power distribution to other individuals and departments. The engineer must stay current with new technologies and products and identify areas where these should be applied to the existing systems or equipment to meet work requirement by improving reliability or functionality.

l Ability to give advice and make recommendations which are technically sound.
l Ability of technical problems solved in a timely and satisfactory manner
l Ability to mentor others in areas of instrumentation maintenance.

3. Troubleshooting Improvement projects management
l The engineer will be responsible for control system and instrumentation troubleshooting and improvement projects from initiation to completion, including project design, capital approval, scope of work development. The engineer needs to provide guidance to instrument technicians to maximize their work effectiveness and productivity. He needs to preplan and manage all major jobs, capital work orders and project by working out priorities. His management may range from emergency work to scheduled preventive maintenance activities.

4. Safety/Environmental
l The engineer is responsible for protecting his men working in the plant as well as protecting the company’s property by ensuring the workplace is safe. He is responsible for ensuring all safety rules and practice specified by the company are strictly followed in maintenance work. One of his important responsibilities is continuously enhancing the safety awareness of his people. Providing equipment, training and anything else necessary to have safety in all areas of the maintenance work is something he needs to keep in mind all the time. He must work hard to avoid accident in maintenance work.

5. Management on parts and equipment standardization
l By working with store, purchasing and operations, the engineer ensures that parts and equipment are standardized while keeping inventory at a minimum. The engineer has a key role in controlling part purchase cost by correctly determining what parts and equipment need to be ordered. The position needs to provide assistance in terms of instruments and parts selection as well as vendors and costs. He must be able to adequately assess needs versus available resources in determining whether outside contractors are to be used. The position assists maintenance manager in replacement parts inventory and cost reduction.

6. System and Equipment Documentation
l The engineer is responsible for reporting to maintenance manager on a regular basis, via written and verbal communication, the status of all active projects and programs they are involved with. He needs to keep good filing of equipment troubleshooting, repair and replacement records to be clear about the performance of the equipment.

7. People Development
l After the plant goes into normal stable operation, how to maintain the plant equipment at best operational status becomes one of the most important tasks for the company. To achieve this purpose, a highly skilled maintenance workforce must be available. An important responsibility of the maintenance engineer is continuously making efforts to develop the work skills and technical proficiency of the maintenance staff, to ensure maintenance support provided by maintenance group meets company’s expectation.

5.对部件与设备标准化的管理
