Job title: FEA engineer

Reporting to : China R&D department manager

Job description:
1. Support engineering functions through performing FEA analysis and modifying/optimizing design(s) to ensure reliability of product assemblies and components.
2. Conduct analyses to replace physical qualification tests in order to reduce development cycle time and improve product reliability and/or durability with the least material cost.
3. Prepare documents that specify the methodology and/or instructions of mechanical design/analysis procedures for different components/assemblies of components, assemblies and finished products.
4. Provide suggestions for improvement of current infrastructure and methodology.
5. Assume decision-making responsibility on whether the components have met strength and durability requirements before hardware built according to plan.
6. Conduct fatigue analysis of iron castings, steel weldings and other components for components, assemblies and finished products.
7. Guide the design development of the components in the early concept stages.
8. Validation and verification of simulations
9. Planning and directing experiments related to designs and/or simulations
10. Writing technical documentation and presenting technical reports
11. Communicating effectively with technology, product development and platform engineering groups

Qualification:
1. Bachelor or master in mechanical engineering with a strong background in linear and non-linear structural analysis and modal analysis
2. Knowledge of using FEA package (SolidWorks) with strong problem-solving skills
3. Knowledge of Windows OS environments and general computer skills (such as MS-Word and Excel)
4. Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
5. Demonstrated capabilities in technical presentation and report writing
6. Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
7. Practical sense and discerning ability (good judgment)
8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

Preferred Skills and Experiences:
1. Familiarity with compressors, diesel generators and similar equipment is a plus
2. Practical engineering experience in appliance design is a plus
3. Knowledge of computer hardware and software that are used in virtual analysis tools
4. Experience in structural analysis using virtual tools.
