Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Receivable
Responsible for ensuring that both ‘Proactive’ and ‘Reactive’ credit control takes place. Responsible for ensuring customers debts are collected in line with contracted payment terms. Executing and documenting the authorities decision. Recognize financial risk situations on Trade Receivable Accounts. Exercise manual blocking of orders on high financial risk and seriously delinquent accounts. Recommend A/R provisions for bad debt.
Accounts Receivable – Interest/Dunning & Blocking (as per MOA)
Conduct process of charging interest – request approval to exclude/include the customer/items from charging. Review dunning proposals. Responsible for managing credit blocked orders and customers approaching or exceeding their credit limit. Escalate bad debts to Legal Department for those cases where legal support is required.
Accounts Receivable – Reconciliation
Ensure all debits and credits on a customer's accounts receivable statement of account is worked to conclusion with payment or internal adjustments. Negotiate settlements where resolution of open items cannot be agreed or are uneconomic to investigate or resolve.
Customer Service
Acknowledge receipt of complaint with customer and Investigate & resolve the complaint. Act as the escalation point where the allocated resolution owner of a customer complaint is unable to provide a resolution. Responsible for ensuring that the corrective and preventative actions resulting from complaints are of a suitably high standard and the SLA is met. Have oversight of all business segment credit committee meetings. Be proficient in reporting routine and ad hoc business specific MI to the LoB
General
Conduct customer visits if required. Keep up-to-date on issues by holding regular discussions with the Credit analysts and sales teams. Review debt collection process to identify improvements.

Requirements:
Have the ability to meet or discuss with customers, issues concerning non-payment of debts whilst still trying to maintain our relationship wherever possible. The ability to negotiate effectively is a key requirement together with strong, but firm interpersonal skills.Must be extremely knowledgeable of business to both support and control debt collection issues.
Qualifications
More than 5 years experience in debt collection and recovery
Fluent in English language
Strong aptitude for managing processes and driving towards best-in-class process performance

This role requires a results driven, focussed team leader, with excellent communication skills and strong drive. He/She must be able to work under tight time pressure whilst still maintaining high standards of work not only personally, but also within the team.He/She must be able to encourage and support team members in their personal development, and positively engage with others to improve business processes and performance where necessary, and should posses strong commercial acumen to be able to support the sales organisation in debt collection matters. He/She must be credible and be able to negotiate with customers face to face at the highest level within their organisation.
