Position Summary:
Follow up product qualification from start till commercialization
Work together with related cross function team to provide technical support to achieve the project goals.

Primary Responsibilities:
Act as a technical conduit between Asian manufacturing sites and US on new product development, resourcing, market goods from start to launch
- Provide possible technical solutions to problems that arise
On-site follow-up technical development process and progress, to meet all quality/ certificate and performance objectives and facilitate capacity ramp-up
- Identify and escalate issues to all concerned stakeholders
Perform root cause investigation and failure analysis jointly with Quality Team on the product quality issues in filed return or customer complaint
Necessary support to Sourcing in projects forward while they are being developed / quoted at suppliers
- Cost improvement initiatives ( like VA/VE ) on existing products
Maintain technical information like product specification and test plan/report, factory audit report etc
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Education: College
Minimum years of Experience: 10
B.S. degree in Engineering
Strong Industry background: Ceramic and other houseware products made of glass/metal etc
Willing to take business trip in SEA, China mainland ( up to 60% )
Solid experience in product/project development, engineering, and / or manufacturing
Extensive experience in production and assembly, process control and optimization ( LEAN )
Knowledgeable in manufacturing cost management / value engineering processes
Proficient in both English and Chinese

Licenses/Certifications: Project management certificates ( Preferred )

Travel Requirements:
Domestic = 60%, Int'l - occasionally

Less experience, can consider as Project Engineer.
