Responsibilities:
- Advising customers and customer support until the order is placed
- Checking the suitability and application possibilities of the requested products
- Detailing of the documents for the preparation of the offer
- Preparation of a calculation for the price determination
- Follow-up support for customers incl. solving technical problems and
monitoring the measures taken
- Coordinate the engineering tender for the product line.
- Organizing the planning to create the technical answer (studies / Clause by Clause) and ensure workload / capacity balance.
- Organizing resources allocation to tender with Site engineering manager for Domains need and System Engineering Manager for system needs.
- Validate the technical and economical content of the tender according to product line rules / standards and present it for approval to Product Line Engineering Director prior submission to Sales.
- Optimize the bid/tender to minimize NRC / RC. As such work jointly with product engineering manager to:
- Provide feedback from tender to Product engineering manager to ensure alignment between product and customer expectation
- Get from the tender the last and updated product technical definition and margin improvement plan to build the most competitive bid.
- Maintains and optimize the bid process/WBS , tool and methodology to reduce bid phase and increase bid technical robustness.
- Release monthly to site engineering manager the order intake forecast to allow site engineering to manage workload / capacity.
- Support sales technically in front of customer to win tender and promote Wabtec products.
- Provide support for the production process of relevant products as required and be able to analyze the problems in the production process and give solutions.

Qualifications:
- Preferably technical vocational training, ideally with further training in the field of
mechanical engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in major of mechanical engineering/Mechanical design manufacturing and automation
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in rail transit industry, especially familiar with pantograph, current collector and ground return unit.
- Professional experience in a tendering context is an advantage
- Good communication skills with relevant person especially with customer
- Good planning and organizational skills
- With independent, service-oriented way of working
- With certain hands-on mentality
- Good written and spoken English
- Ability to work under pressure
