Responsibilities:
· Assist with maintaining our supplier quality management systems, including our supplier quality manual, procedures, scorecards, and improvement activities.
· Responsible for supporting all elements of the supplier quality management system including, first piece approvals, periodic production part inspections, product/process validations, and improvement, control plan development and adherence, non-conforming material containment, root cause analysis, and CAPA
· Responsible for assisting in supplier corrective actions as it pertains to internal or external failures.
· Responsible for supplier development. In conjunction with the Global Quality Department, identify development opportunities based on risk and benefit. Development opportunities include, but are limited to, improved inspection initiatives, leveraging technology, mistake proofing, capacity improvement, or quality management opportunities.
· Perform special projects as assigned by the Supplier Quality Manager. Perform trend analysis and establish ongoing supplier quality metrics.
· Assist in researching, sourcing, and assessing the best vendors to supply the necessary materials.
· Perform initial supplier assessments and ongoing supplier audits. The position plays a key role in oversight, development, and approval of process validations at supplier sites
· Review and evaluate supplier quality data to improve supply chain; develop current suppliers, phase out current suppliers, and or phase in new supplier.
· Review suppliers manufacturing processes and collaborate on process improvements and or design to cost initiatives.
· Promote the use of continuous improvement and risk mitigation tools, such as lean, six sigma, poka-yoke, FMEA
· Manage supplier key performance indicators and work with Supply Chain Leaders to improve. Serves as a key point of contact to Quality and Supply Chain partners for Supplier Quality issues and coordinates with the supplier to drive timely resolution of Supplier Quality related issues.
Qualification:
· Candidates should possess a 4-year technical degree; an Engineering or Metallurgical degree is required.
· Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and experience in structured problem solving (example A3, 8D, quick problem solving).
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and act strategically and tactically to support successful project completion
· At least 8 years of quality experience within the manufacturing industry.
· Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
· Excellent communication skills.
