Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

* Develop tooling/equipment sourcing opportunity in Asia. * Qualify new tooling/equipment supplier in Asia, conduct on-site audit to assess supplier tooling/equipment capability. * Provide support at quoting,e-bidding, design review, progress review, qualification run for In-House tooling/equipment projects. * Approve new tooling design, follow tooling trial out till to first piece sample inspection & qualification approval for source product projects. * Proactively work with supplier and Sourcing/Quality team to manage GE Owned tooling maintenance, modification and re-location. * Work closely with US tooling/quality/design team and China team, review the project on a regullar basis * Lead the initiative volunteer activity for Appliances sourcing team * Travel to suppliers and sites on a regular basis will be required.

Qualifications/Requirements

* BS Technical Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, minimum five (5) years working experience in tooling design, building & development. * Strong experience at Metal stamping, Injection Molding, Die Casting manufacturing process. * Solid metrology knowledge and experience, be familiar with CMM and other measuring equipment * Experience in supplier Quality Assurance / Quality Control, know how to apply statistical quality control tools for process / product control, such as SPC, gage R&R, FMEA and DOE. * Good English communication skills (written and verbal), analytical and trouble shooting skills. * Travel to and work together with suppliers closely * Self-discipline, self-starter, proven team player, ability to work in cross-functional team environment.
