Amazon has developed a number of innovative and fast-growing digital and mobile businesses all around the world. We are looking for a results-oriented GS site merchandiser to drive Global store business in China. You will drive planning and executing best in class website and use different tools to drive adoption and traffic of our global GS selections. The position will be based in Beijing, China.

As site merchandiser in GS, you will handle complicated site merchandising and editorial projects in your category. You will propose, plan and execute new features, stores, and products with minimal oversight, partnering with other teams to achieve project goals. You play an active role in identifying the risks and potential ROI for a project and in making tradeoffs. You have an in-depth understanding of merchandising and customer facing metrics and use such data to guide your decisions and recommendations. You are seen by your team and vendors as an expert in your product line and its customer base. You actively stay on top of new products, brands, trends and markets and propose strategies for optimizing them from a merchandising standpoint. You have a deep understanding of all traffic-driving mechanisms (Search, Browse, etc.) and are actively engaged in optimizing those channels for your business


General Responsibilities

  • o Own the end to end GS business, sort offers, monitor selections, maintain and optimize onsite store and campaign continuously to improve customer experience and increase conversion.

    o Planning and executing GS promotion calendars, which includes defining offers, creative proposal, landing page creation, onsite placements and posting on marketing channels, etc.

    o Participate site-wide big events and coordinate resources with related stakeholders.

    o Own specific merchandising programs to drive traffic or CX related improvements.

    o Own GS categories to upsell key titles and facilitate content acquisition.

    o Synthesize and analyze business metrics for insights summary.

  • Basic Qualifications

    o Bachelor’s degree or above

    o 3+ years of experience in e-commerce merchandising experience

    o English to independently produce documents and presentations

    o Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up feature and customer segment recommendations

  • Preferred Qualifications

    o Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically

    o Experience designing and executing online customer experiences

    o Strong communication skills: experience in coordinating teams and communicating to senior management

    o Strong bias for action, ability to prioritize and attention to detail

    o An understanding of, and passion for media and technology and category operation

    o Aptitude for organization, flexibility and producing results in a fast paced environment
