Purpose of the Job:

Under minimum supervision, carries out project liaison functions including supporting New Product Development (NPD) project teams by planning, coordinating, and communicating between the various disciplines. In performing these functions, the Project engineer will exercise extensive latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment. Works in conjunction with various other disciplines leading and/or development of designs or adaptations requiring specialized experience.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):

· Project Liaison

· Support NPD project from concept initiation to launch of product.

· Coordinate, and communicate between areas of responsibility as required. This shall include work tasks, task status, and responsibility.

· Work in conjunction with to develop concepts for review/discussion with other departments, specifically marketing and manufacturing.

· Prepare necessary updates on projects to inform other members of the organization and vendors.

· Other Duties:

· Engineers will be utilized in other areas of the department to supplement project resources, such as testing, sample preparation, and pilot production.

· Understand and follow Quality Management System.

Experience & Education:

· Bachelor’s degree required.

· 2-5 years experience on project through the Product Development life cycle from concept to manufacturing.

· PMP - Project Management Professional Certification preferred.

· Experience with metal and plastic materials, structural analysis, extrusion, fabrication and joining for high volume production preferred.

· Experience working with cross-functional teams

· Language Skill: Fluent oral English
