Imerys’ Refractory, Abrasives & Construction (RAC) Business Area is present in 22 countries all around the world and serves three main markets, refractory, abrasives & construction.

 

As part of our Refractory, Abrasives & Construction roadmap for the coming years, Imerys is going to heavily focus on developing its presence in Infrastructure Solutions. We will be focusing our efforts on providing products and innovative solutions for wastewater, heavy duty industrial assets, roads & pavements, underground civil tunneling and mining.

Job Summary

●      Carry out complex or specialized analytical tests

●      Use a range of methods from standard and well-established routines to specially adapted processes

●      Plan own work within the constraints of a research program or test schedule

●      Liaise with Imerys staff to carry out investigations into complaints from customers, to provide answers or to support the development of Imerys minerals solutions

●      Work on specific projects under guidance of a technical specialist, e.g. chemist, scientist/ engineer

●      Record data and time sheet, observations, and conclusions

●      Maintain and develop the laboratory equipment

●      Act daily as a role model on all safety aspects of the laboratory

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

●   Bachelor degree and above. in material sciences, chemistry, physics, process engineering or similar subjects.

●      Ideally 2 years of relevant experiences in a laboratory environment

●      Mandarin and English (both written and conversational)

●      Be able to understand industrial minerals and their effects on the end-use product and associated processes, or allied markets.

●      Self-motivated, keen on problem solving, team player

●      good communication skills

●      travel: approx 20%, mainly domestic, but also some international travel

●   Be able to work flexibly to meet business demands and changing priorities.
