Location: Tianjin
Job Title: Sales Manager
Disciplinary reporting to: Branch Manager
Functional reporting to: Sales Manager,Area North
Subordinates: Supervisor and General staff
Position Overview:
- Support the creation of integrated logistics solutions for existing and potential customers in collaboration with Sales Team, Product Team and Customers.
- Support the Tender Management Team in day-to-day business and tasks.
- Lead Tianjin sales team to achieve the company’s Finance and Volume targets and budget.
- Acquire business from new customer, develop new business and maintain relationship with existing customers in order to achieve sales goal.
Position Accountabilities:
- Ensure operational excellence by complying with a quality control system based on the company’s ISO 9001 standard.
- Manage and Organize sales activities for Tianjin sales team
- Increase new business and maintain existing customer
- Promote Schenker Tianjin in local market and to overseas stations
- Ensure all RFQ ( request for quotation ) , bids and tenders are replied t within the time specified .
- Lead sales team generating qualified sales leads and have them followed up regularly
- Hold regular meeting with the sales team for market information sharing and exchange of selling skills
- Arrange joint calls and customer visit with sales, customer service, management, as well as overseas counterparts.
- Ensure customer database is updates and all sales related reports /plans are completed in a timely manner
- Have regular communication with regional sales manager / other branches to follow up on mutual areas of sales target such as promotions, new product and new customer.
- Perform any special duties or projects assigned by the management

Relevant Education Background, Hard Skill, Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Solid ocean freight knowledge and background.
- At least 5 years working experience in ocean related business with solid ocean freight knowledge.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong business acumen & deal making capacity.
- Work independently based on given deadliness.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Analytical skills to solve complex problems.
- Excellent Interpersonal and communicational skills
- Strong writing and oral communication skills.
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio)
- Fluent business Chinese and good English knowledge (oral and written) required.
