Wealth and Personal Banking is our new global business combining Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become one of the world’s largest global wealth managers with USD1.4 trillion in assets. In this role, you will

- The scope of the role involves delivering digital change across a number of different regions, ensuring quality and timely delivery. This requires working closely with IT delivery managers to lead cross functional teams of developers, analysts, testers, working at pace and with excellent attention to detail. The role holder will support the Senior Digital Market Activation Lead and have a close relationship with the market decision makers, Product Owners and Delivery Leads. They will work with key stakeholders to create plans and milestones, track, communicate and maintain governance for digital change. The role holder is required to monitor and drive forward at pace the necessary activities, apply critical thinking and attention to detail to inform the approach to obstacles and make recommendations at key decision points. Maintaining accurate and clear governance and communicating status and risks as well as ensuring change is clearly understood and embedded are paramount.
Principal responsibilities
- The role holder will work with Digital Product Owners and other delivery areas such as Cross Functional Teams, IT, local Digital teams and their business stakeholders, to plan and deliver digital change.
- Reporting to the Digital Market Activation Lead, the role holder will be responsible for the proactive support for part of a portfolio of digital initiatives highlighting and taking action to mitigate risks and issues, ensuring deliveries are on time and to quality standards with minimal disruption.
- Creation, base-lining and ownership of plan and scope of upcoming digital releases, working with product owner and local market leads to agree priorities and with testing, engineering and analysis to schedule tasks and milestone dates to be met.
- Defining and tracking against readiness criteria such as business change embedding activity, IT NFRs and co-ordination with other channel releases.
- Proactive management of change and implementation activity across Digital initiatives highlighting and taking action to mitigate risks and issues, ensuring delivery is on time and achieves high quality standards with minimal disruption.
Qualifications
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements
- Project management, release management or implementation experience.
- Knowledge and exposure to both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and best practice within each.
- Experience of leading a cross functional team to support the delivery of digital change across regions or markets.
- Experience of working directly with individual markets or a region to deliver digital change.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills to satisfy a wide range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities and the ability to lead and influence.
- Excellent analytical, planning and governance skills.
- Subject Matter Expertise of digital channels, including technical, market place and customer considerations.
- Subject Matter Expertise in implementation planning.
- Strong commercial focus, ability to balance risks vs. rewards and maximize cost effectiveness and profitability for the business.
- Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex or technical issues.
- Pragmatic decision making skills, with the ability to make clear judgments based on data and understand the implications.
- Ability to take a portfolio view and effectively manage multiple market deliveries and releases whilst ensuring each project runs effectively.
- Leadership experience in customer-focussed organisations, in disciplines such as digital, project and change manage management, being able to lead others to excel.
- Respectful of different cultures, working with colleagues from across all five regions (North America, LATAM, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe).
