Position Summary

Our clinical activities in China are increasing and considering the inherent challenges, we are seeking to strengthen the Nestlé Clinical Research Unit Team with Clinical Project Manager in China.
This position should act as key partner to oversees operational aspects, but also importantly, behave as trusted ambassador role to represent our clinical trials activities in China. You should build cross functional team across geography and proactively manage relevant stakeholders. You should demonstrate result focus attitude and strong initiative, you will be fully accountable for all operational and strategic aspects of study conduct, for the flawless, efficient and smooth execution of the Clinical Trials while complying with internal and external quality standards

A day in the life of...

- Review and provide operational input on clinical substantiation plans and protocol outline
- Set realistic timelines, by ensuring practical and valid operational models
- Identify risks, define contingency/mitigation plans for a strategic risk management
- Assess investigational site(s) & staff's suitability to conduct the protocol.
- Select, manage and coordinate external vendors, such as Clinical Research Organization (CROs) and central laboratories
- Manage operational aspects of the clinical study in compliance with regulatory, clinical guidelines (ICH-GCP) and Nestlé standards
- Manage the internal and external stakeholders and take daily decisions in the best interest of the business
- Prepare, review essential trial documents, maintain the Trial Master Files and manage Regulatory/Ethical Committee submission process
- Proactively manage the trial budget and provide regular input in the budgeting cycles
- Coordinate the investigational product preparation, logistics and management of supply throughout trial
- Coordinate the lab manual and biological sample logistics
- Contribute to the strategy of the Clinical Project Management Group by identifying areas of improvement for increasing efficiency innovations

What will make you successful

- University degree level or equivalent in related scientific field
- At least 3 years clinical project management experience in Food/Pharma/CRO industry or in an academic setting
- Proven experience in leading & coordinating the activities of cross-functional operational teams
- Experience of working with clinical sites to execute protocols, and managing multi-sites, international clinical studies (including vendor and clinical site selection, oversight and management; budget and contracts management)
- Good understanding on the Chinese clinical trial regulatory and data privacy framework
- Experience in risk management
- Excellent communication skills, ability to convince, negotiate with and manage the expectations of key clinical trial stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving attitude and a creative mindset
- Team player
- Willingness to travel according to business needs (10-20%)
- Fluent in Chinese and English.
